SALUD on Marginal Way and The Portland Yoga Project on Forest Avenue keep barre on broader schedules, and Mome Studios adds it in Knightville, South Portland.

Spin and cycling

Portland has two dedicated indoor cycling studios. JIBE moved from Free Street to a larger studio at 82 Hanover Street in Bayside and teaches 45-minute rhythm rides; a ride is $29 and new riders get three for $29. Rêve on Forest Avenue rides Stages bikes and also teaches mat-based Rêve Method classes, with $26 walk-ins. JIBE has a second studio in Yarmouth, and SALUD and Crisp in Scarborough add cycle classes to bigger schedules.

For cardio kickboxing in a class format, the closest option we could verify is Evolution Athletix in Saco, about 20 minutes south, which also runs boxing and HIIT classes with a free first class.

CrossFit

CrossFit Casco Bay on outer Congress Street near Union Station has been open since 2009; new members start with a two-session Foundations course for $70, then pay $175 every four weeks. Drop-ins run $25 at Casco Bay and East Yard if you already train.

Dance

Body Positive Dance Fitness in the Pine Tree Shopping Center on Brighton Avenue is Portland's dance-cardio studio: Zumba, SHiNE, hip hop, and line dancing, built for beginners. Fitness classes in Portland: common questions

What fitness classes can I take in Portland, Maine?

Greater Portland has class-based options across Pilates (reformer, mat, and Xformer), yoga (including heated power yoga), spin (JIBE, Rêve), barre, HIIT (Orangetheory, F45), CrossFit, boxing, dance fitness, and climbing. Most studios sit on the Portland peninsula, with more in South Portland, Westbrook, Scarborough, Falmouth, and Yarmouth.

How much do workout classes cost in Portland, Maine?

As of October 2026, a single class costs $15 to $25 for yoga, $20 to $30 for barre and dance, $26 to $29 for spin, and $25 to $45 for Pilates, with reformer at the top of that range. Almost every studio has an intro deal, such as $25 for a week of yoga or 3 spin classes for $29.

How do I choose a studio in Portland?

Start with the format you enjoy enough to repeat, then pick a studio you can reach easily on a weekday. Most Portland studios offer an intro deal, so trying two or three before committing is normal. Corvi helps from there: you can see where friends actually check in, not just what reviews say.

How does Corvi know about these studios?

Corvi syncs studio and class data from the booking platforms studios already use, and our team is based in Portland. We keep this guide updated as studios open, move, or close. If we are missing a studio, let us know through the app.
